Daily Reflection: Monday, March 20

Monday, March 20

The Feast of St. Joseph us being celebrated today (normally March 19). What an outstanding person this man was even though the Scriptures do not have much to say about him. You put the Scripture references about him together with the culture of the time and he shines forth as a person of great dignity and strength who was able to act on what he believed God wanted him to do . The customs of the time were not enough to bind him because it was God who inspired him to go beyond what others expected of him. We pray: Joseph, inspire us and give us courage that comes from being close to God.

Fr. Andrew
