Memorial of Saint Athanasius, Bishop and Doctor

If you keep my commandments , you will remain in my love,

just as I have kept my Father’s commandments 

and remain in his love.   (Jn 15:10)

Contradiction is not part of love.  It rubs love the wrong way.  So, for the one who loves God, keeping Jesus’ commandments is just natural.  It is not always easy, but we know it is right.
