Now that we are in the season of autumn, there seems to be more darkness during our days. We wake up to darkness and it gets darker earlier, sometimes early afternoon. For some this is a difficult time, especially those who suffer from seasonal affective disorder. Our first reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians comes at a good time, to remind us that we are the children of the light, therefore, we have to live as light. Paul writes, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light”. How do we live of light? The first line of this section of the letter we read, “Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving, on another as God has forgiven you in Christ”.
