Thursday, October 27, 2022 – 30th Week in Ordinary Time

Our first reading sounds like a call to war and violence. St. Paul is telling the Ephesians to be strong in a world that does not fully accept them. They are to gain their strength from our God. “Draw your strength from the Lord from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God…” What is the armor of God? It is the armor of love. It is not the armor of distraction. It is through prayer and supplications that we build up our armor of love.
