Daily Reflection: Saturday, November 12

November 12, Memorial of St. Josaphat, Bishop`

Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becomeing weary.   (Lk 18:1)

I realize that I am writing to prayerful people.  We all know that there are different ways of praying and some fit us better than others.   Jeus is not talking about saying prayers, but rather being in prayer.  It is an attitude of mind and heart that always remains aware of the presence of God and that, given a chance, is ready to slip into prayers.  Some events and conditions attack our awareness of God’s presence.  That is why Jesus reminds of the necessity to pray always.  The commitment to be aware of God’s presence needs to be constantly renewed.

To be in God’s presence is to be in God’s love.
