Daily Reflection: Tuesday, July 30

Today Jesus condemns all who cause others to sin. Doing what is good is essential for each of us; we also have to be sure that we are not causing another to sin because of our righteousness or sense of self-importance. The humility of Jesus is to be our example – he did not flaunt his relationship with God, but it colored all that he did. We are called to be wounded healers, knowing that when we are weak then God’s strength is shown more clearly. Arrogance has no place in the kingdom!
