Stewardship: Because our congregation changes almost week to week, I would like to share with our visitors, be they with us for a weekend, a few weeks, or a few months that we are Stewardship parish. Hopefully, you have seen the posters and the Stewardship brochures at the doors of the churches.  The goal of our stewardship program is to increase everyone's engagement in the life of the parish by sharing of one’s time, talent, or treasure, or all three!  We are stewards of the parish and we are stewards of one another.  We care for one another and we take responsibility for one another.

The three Stewardship brochures are labeled Time, Talent, and Sharing the Joy of the Gospel [Treasure.]  If you are looking for ways that you can use your time to become closer to God, please take a Time brochure.  If you would like to share your Talent with the community, that brochure can help you see where you can lend a hand. Perhaps you would like to lector or be a Eucharistic Minister.  Let us know.  We have a book club, knitters group, and much more.  How can you share your talent for the Kingdom?  Finally, Sharing the Joy of the Gospel brochure illustrates how the community can share their treasures with the parish community to ensure that we will be here for the next generation.  Please feel free to take a brochure.  If you are not already, I hope you would consider becoming a steward of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Parish Cookbook: The parish is putting together a cookbook of our favorite recipes.  Thank you to those who have already submitted recipes but we are in need a quite a few more if this will be successful.  If you have submitted a recipe please feel free to send in a few more.  If you have not sent in a recipe and would like to share one, two, or three of your favorite recipes please send them to me at the parish center.

I do know that we have many people in our parish community who do like to cook and have gathered favorite recipes over time.  We would love to share them with the community.  The recipe forms can be found at the doors of the churches or on our website.  (CLICK HERE)

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me at the parish.  We are hoping for 150 recipes for our book.  If we have more, even better!  If one of your favorite pastimes is cooking, please send in your family favorites to share your table with ours.

May we continue to have a blessed summer.

Peace and All Good.
